How to work with brass or copper findings:
Brass findings allow you to add detail without adding extra work. You can foil it along with the background piece that you are adding the finding too or tack solder to the top of the foiled piece. You can either leave the finding natural, or tin it with solder so it will blend in with the rest of your stained glass piece. If you decide to tin the findings, use gloves to handle the brass. It will get extremely hot while adding solder. Fine Steel Wool can be used to prep the findings to make the soldering process go easier. Be sure to flux the finding and use the thinnest possible coating of solder. Because these findings are brass or copper, they may tarnish but can be easily cleaned up with fine steel wool.

So sorry we were out of the item you wanted. It happened that the inventory was off and it was out of stock. With the thousands of items we stock, this can happen. Especially with the brass items. They tend to nest together and someone may have gotten an extra one. This rarely happens but it is possible. With some of our more unusual items that we have, they are of limited supply. We work hard to make happy customers and sorry you were disappointed.
