Description
Cast your own glass with this Stainless Steel Square Casting Mold available in 6″, 8″, 12″ and 16″. Use your new fused casting as a centerpiece or slice into unique shapes for other fused projects.
Just set the Casting Square Mold lined with ceramic fiber paper (1/8″ thick) on a prepared shelf and fill it with compatible glass. If you start your fiber paper at the seam and go past the start by a bit, and blend it with your finger, you shouldn’t see the seam in your glass. Fire to full fuse, the ring will contain the molten glass allowing you to create thick slabs. Glass area measures 6″ inside the square casting mold.

High quality! Just as promised by the seller. I had never used stainless before. I had read about it and all the warnings associated with it. My first attempt was a disaster! I used Thompson enamel frit to slump into a solid block. I did not use a thicker fiber paper that was recommended. I laid it on a piece of thin fire paper. Slumped 6×6 would not come out. I had to remove it with a hammer. Kiln shelf was slightly damaged. Been fusing for 10 years. I should have known better.
