Firing Schedule
We recommend a slumping schedule that works with your kiln. Each kiln seems to have their own personality, but this is the schedule that we use:
Single layer (1/8″) heat 350 degree per hour until you reach 1250 degree-hold for 20 minutes. Drop the temp quickly to 960 degree and hold for 20 minutes then turn the kiln off.
Double layer (1/4″) Heat 250 degree per hour until you reach 1250 degree-hold for 20 minutes. Drop the temp quickly to 960 degree and hold for 20 minutes then turn kiln off.
Have a question on approximate firing schedule? Just ask…
